My Magazine "Carlton's Corner" is for you students aged 16-19, and one's who like Rap and Hip-Hop music;  because these are the type of people that will enjoy the features in my magazine, and also the people who would listen to the music that will be advertised inside my magazine.

Also I used the colour purple, and black and white, to attract peoples attention and make them want to see what is inside my magazine.
The image of me on my magazine cover represents the style of clothes i prefare to wear; and this is due to the artists I listen to such as; Jay-Z and LL Cool J! Also in the image I have my back agianst the wall, which is in a showing that, there is no-way to go back if you read and enjoy this magazine, your life is just progressing forward with excitement and entertainment!

My contents page, gives you infomation and tells you about the features that you will find as you read on further into the magazine, I used the same colours as the front cover, to keep my magzine colour based and not too many colours to, confuse the reader or make the magazine look unprofessional.
I also wanted to bring the text infront of the image to show that sometimes the text is more important than the image.

Jay Z and LL Cool J; share the same genre in clothing and they also are part of the same music style, Rap and Hip Hop. Another comparison between these two artists is that they're both from rough backgrounds and they only way to get out of the "ghetto" is to aspire to be a rap artist.

Jay Z was born on the 4th of December 1969, in bedford stuyvesand, Brooklyn, New york, U.S. Jay Z is represented in the media world as this "rap" icon, although he is also a businessman. He has sold approximately 40 million albums worldwide, and also recieved 10 grammy awards for his musical work and attributes. With Jay Z being so popular, the magazines use him a lot on the front of their magazines, this is to help produce their magazine brand. His music is mainly aimed at the age range of around 16 year olds up to 35 years olds; also his music is mainly aimed at males. Jay Z isn't owned by a record company, as he is the founder of Roc Nation which consumes of many other artists, he is also former CEO of Def Jam Recordings, and he is one of three founders of Roc-A-Fella Records. He is often seen wearing buisness like clothes, gangsta like clothes, and he also wears all black clothing a lot of the time. His genres of music is hip hop, Jay Z as also did music soundtrackes for films, e.g. the 2007 film "American Gangster". Jay Z also is a part owner of NBA's New Jersey Nets and owns The 40/40 club, and he has his own clothing wear which is rocwear.
